TxDOT CUTS LEAVE CITIES' PLANS IDLING

The state transportation department's decision to cut a federally funded grant program has left cities in the eight-county Tyler district wondering where they will come up with the $28.7 million they intended to use for beautification, hike-and-bike trails, sidewalks, tourism facilities and other improvements.
