FEMA AWARDS $4. 37 MILLION TO HELP FUND CARTHAGE, TEXAS SHELTER

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $4 million in Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funding to the State of Texas for the conversion of an existing building to a multi-purpose facility and community tornado/hurricane shelter in the Panola County town of Carthage.
